Our aim is to bring advances in technology from around the globe in the last decade to Australia's emerging geothermal industry.
Geothermal regions with potential prospectivity are well defined within Australia. What has lacked is the technology and expertise to be able to commercialise these resources and the development of a compelling approach to attract investment to it. The Allasso Energy approach changes that.
By bringing the best surface engineering solutions matched to optimal subsurface deliverability Allasso Energy gets geothermal energy commercialised fast.
From electricity that can support green industries such as hydrogen production and fertilisers, to consistent direct heat solutions for aquaculture and desalination. Allasso Energy's geothermal energy product can offer solutions that support a broad range of Australian industries.
Allasso is a pure play geothermal energy company. That's all we do, we only hold assets that are aligned to the decarbonisation objectives of Australia. This allows Allasso to make quick decisions on deploying capital that are not conflicted with competing energy interests within the organisation.
We have a leadership team of experts with a depth of experience not found anywhere else in Australia. Our team is committed to the development of a sustaining geothermal industry within Australia and we have the technical and commercial capability to deliver on this, now.
Allasso Energy is a strong believer in continuous improvement and learning from past experience. The last attempt at geothermal energy in Australia resulted in the publishing of three challenges to the industry. Allasso has addressed those three challenges.
Allasso Energy's Leadership Team each have over 25 years of commercial and technical experience in successfully bringing energy projects to market.
Mr Somoff has worked in the energy sector for over 30 years with a number of global executive roles and current experience as a director in green energy exploration companies.
He has completed extensive work scopes on geothermal regions across Australia with a focus on the delineation of high grade geothermal prospectivity adjacent to areas that will support rapid commercialisation of the resource. His work is focused on developing infrastructure led conceptual models of geothermal deliverability utilising the next generation of advanced geothermal systems and subsurface driven conventional geothermal systems.
Mr Somoff has a B.Sc in Geology and Geophysics and a M.Eng in Reservoir and Drilling Engineering and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors
Dr Leggoe is one of Australia's leading authorities on fluid dynamics and thermal systems. He has been a tenured professor in the USA, and continues to undertake a variety of technical advisory and consulting roles. Dr Leggoe is experienced in optimising plant and equipment configurations to match deliverability of thermal fluid systems. His expertise allows the maximum return on investment from the subsurface resource by developing the best options from a variety of available technologies including Binary Geothermal Power Plants, Two-phased Binary Combined Cycle Units and Integrated Combined Cycle Units. He has led teams on the modelling of thermal test data to determine the most appropriate pathway to commercialisation.
Dr Leggoe is a Chartered Practicing Mechanical Engineer and the Director of the Centre for Cooperative Education for Enterprise Development at the University of Western Australia
